Free Underwater Fish Hotel Adventure at Hobbs Woods
June 13 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeDive into the underwater world with us as we discover the important role of fish hotels and
macroinvertebrates play in our underwater ecosystems!
This hands-on event is perfect for any child from kindergarten to fifth grade who would enjoy a hands-on
engaging experience learning about what lives in our streams and lakes. We will kick off the event by
learning what a fish hotel is and why they are important. We will then have a short hands-on lesson
about macroinvertebrates, where the kids will be able to see what types of macroinvertebrates live in
Parsons Creeks.
Water shoes and clothing that can get wet/dirty are recommended! We will be down by Parsons Creek
near the picnic/library area in Hobbs Woods while we search for fish hotels and learn about
macroinvertebrates. This is a hands-on event, and the kids may get wet/muddy depending on conditions.
