Shaler Park

Shaler Park is a scenic park, next to the Rock River, connected by a walkway-topped dam to Harris Mill Park on the other side of the river. Home to one of the most iconic sculpures in American history: The End of The Trail, by James Earl Fraser. The image of this heroic bronze, even its silhouette, has become an icon representing the plight of Native Americans who were displaced across this country. In 1975 the statue became a Wisconsin landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Park facilities include benches, picnic tables, and shore fishing.
