The Zillmer Trail, located in the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northen Unit, is a pleasant view of a variety of oak and aspen forests, pine plantations, marsh, and open fields. The terrain consists of long flats, numerous rollers, and a couple of large hills. One of the trails also features a scenic overlook with expansive views of the surrounding area.
The Zillmer shelter has an enclosed heated shelter available April through November for up to 50 people. Tables, chairs, and electric outlets are provided along with drinking water and vault toilets nearby.
