
Symphonic Band Americana Concert

Free admissionThe Fond du Lac Symphonic Band, under the direction of Evan Chancellor, will present its traditional Americana Concert at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac on Friday, the 4th of July, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Vocalist Stephanie Albers will be featured singing God Bless America. Other patriotic selections include American Patrol, America the Beautiful, and Battle Hymn of the Republic. American jazz will be heard in Salute to American Jazz and A Tribute to the Count by Sammy Nestico. American pop music will be highlighted in Themes Like Old Times and the theme from The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini. The concert will open with National Emblem March by Bagley, and conclude with the official march of the United States: Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa.
The Bands performance will be followed by fireworks on the lakefront at 9:30 p.m.. The Symphonic Bands summer concerts in Fond du Lac are sponsored by the City of Fond du Lac.
Next on the summer schedule is the Symphonic Band at Buttermilk Creek Park on July 9 with the theme: The Final Frontier: a Trip through Outer Space, followed by a band performance at Campbellsport on July 10.
