Walk to End Alzheimer's – Fond du Lac County
This Walk Day celebration calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against Alzheimers and all other dementias.
This inspiring event opens at 8:30 AM with breakfast snacks, a Purple Clubhouse with activities and gifts for the kiddos, music, beverages and other food for purchase, a Caregiver Sanctuary offering goodie bags to caregivers who often face the most challenges of this disease, photo ops with local mascots, and Alzheimers Association advocates on-hand to answer your questions about coping with Alzheimers and other dementia. An emotional and inspiring Opening Ceremony begins at 9:40 AM, followed by the 2-mile Walk starting at 10:00 AM. You can walk as far as you want, at whatever speed you want, by whatever means you normally walk, or not at all just come to share in the camaraderie and support of others who care about our cause and who come to celebrate the eventual first survivor of Alzheimers!
While there is no fee to register for the Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimers Association to support their mission of a world without Alzheimers and all other dementias. On-site registration is available on Walk Day, but please make every effort to pre-register on our website so you can enjoy the festivities as soon as you arrive, and so we can better plan this wonderful community event.
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimers Association Walk to End Alzheimers is the worlds largest fundraiser for Alzheimers care, support, and research.
