July 19 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
On Saturday, July 19th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, you can join fellow outdoor enthusiasts to paddle through the southern portion of the Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ wildlife staff will be on hand to help guide your paddle while educating about marsh wildlife as you travel a 3-mile loop through the Horicon Marsh and the Rock River.

This paddle will be a shortened route from the June 28, 2025, Horicon Marsh Paddle and is great for novice or family paddlers! The launch and landing are at Nebraska Street Boat Landing (One Mile Island Trail Head). (23611160622000, Horicon, WI 53032)

A few key details:
  NO registration needed
The new route will be approximately 3 miles long. (about 2 hours)
Launch times will be from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM only.
DNR staff will still be out on the water to answer paddler questions and they will come off the water at Noon.
  No equipment is provided.
No shuttle bus will be needed.

The DNR wildlife staff will briefly cover topics related to the marsh’s wildlife and will be available for any other questions.
