Walk to End Alzheimer's – Fond du Lac County
October 7 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Free AdmissionWalk Day calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementia. This inspiring event opens at 8:30 AM with breakfast snacks, a Purple Clubhouse with activities and gifts for the kiddos, music, root beer floats (a favorite), a Caregiver Sanctuary – offering goodie bags to caregivers who often face the most challenges of this disease, photo ops with local mascots, and advocates on-hand to offer information about coping with Alzheimers. The Opening Ceremony begins at 9:45 AM, followed by the 2-mile Walk starting at 10:00 AM (you can go as fast and as far as you want).
While there is no fee to register for the Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to support their mission of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. On-site registration is available on Walk Day, but please pre-register on our website if you can (to help us plan this wonderful family event).
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Many funds are used locally to put those affected by Alzheimers in touch with experts, education programs, early-stage services, caregiver support groups, and a 24/7 helpline to help them get the answers they need to care for loved ones or themselves.
If you know or love someone with Alzheimers, theres no better place for your heart and soul to be on the first Saturday in October! It’s a healing experience youll want to share every year! We hope to see you there!
