God’s Outlaw is a Wisconsin rebel-country band based in the Milwaukee area and active since 2002. The group performs original music alongside a Johnny Cash tribute and classic outlaw country in the tradition of Cash, Waylon Jennings, David Allan Coe, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams (Sr., Jr., and III). Live shows deliver a gritty, high-energy blend of outlaw country, honky-tonk, and Americana, with powerful storytelling and room to expand the stage when the engagement calls for it.
The band’s latest release, Tales of the Hard Way, is a collection of hard-lived stories, late nights, and long roads — classic country influences with a modern edge. Milwaukee Record called it “an impeccably produced 10-track backroads journey that genuflects at the altar of Cash and Jennings.” The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted that the band “superbly carries on the rough-and-tumble ways of country legends like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.”
