The history of the Miracle Mile is truly miraculous! In the 1990s several grocery and convenience stores (mostly on a one mile stretch of South Main Street) in Fond du Lac sold large winning Wisconsin Lottery tickets. The effects of the social media and internet buzz that resulted from this phenomenon made the stretch of Main Street to commonly be known as "The Miracle Mile."
