Looking for an adventure? Fond du Lac is at the epicenter of some of the most spectacular rides and scenic experiences.
- Start the day with a cruise through town as the sun begins its journey over the lake.
- Check in at Open Road Harley-Davidson, a full-service Harley dealership with parts and accessories, service, clothing and some cool collectibles.
- Fully decked out, point your bike toward Waupun for a ride through the City of Sculpture, taking time to marvel at James Earle Fraser's tribute to the American Indian, "End of the Trail."
- Cruise on to the Horicon Marsh or what folks around here call the "tern pike." With 32,000 acres, this is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the U.S., and home or migration layover for an estimated 305 different species of birds. If you have the time, catch a boat tour into the heart of the marsh, courtesy of Horicon Marsh Boat Tours.
- Then head out to the incredible beauty of the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive, where the Ice Age has left its mark on the land in a unique and fascinatingly beautiful manner. Take time out to park the bike and stretch your legs on the famous Ice Age Trail and prepare yourself for stunning beauty every step of the way.
Time to switch gears and take in a view from above.
- Cruise up to High Cliff State Park on Lake Winnebago's northeast tip. Climb the Lookout Tower above the limestone cliffs in the Upper Park, where on a clear day you can see for more than 30 miles to the north, west, and south.
- Ride back to Fond du Lac through the "Holyland" at the end of the day and treat yourself to a skyline view of the sun dancing over the sparkling waters of the lake.
Once you're back in Fond du Lac, stop in for a well-deserved meal on the lake at one of the area's most beloved and biker friendly establishments,
Jim and Linda's Supper Club.
