SUMMARY:Maygan & The Birdwatcher | THELMA Great Hall Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:Maygen & The Birdwatcher weave a rich tapestry of Americana\, blending folk and country with an eclectic twist. Lead singer-songwriters Maygen Lacey and Noah Neumann began as a duo and quickly realized their sonic vision needed more. At the heart of their sound is a collective of talented musicians. Multi-instrumentalist Nik Pellinen adds depth with his banjo\, lap steel\, electric guitar\, and harmonies\, while Jesse Moravec brings a vibrant touch with mandolin and harmonies\, and Evin Haukos soars on fiddle. Bassist Joe Barron and drummer-percussionist Peter Anderson round out the ensemble\, crafting a fresh take on bluegrass-infused folk. It’s a hyphenated hybrid that can come only from a seasoned—and tightly knit—band.\nConcert Time: 7:30 PMBar Opens: 6:30 PMLocation: Great Hall\n \nGET TICKETS HERE: https://ci.ovationtix.com/36819/production/1281067?performanceId=11831130\nSee website for details

SUMMARY:Warriors Haunted Asylum
DESCRIPTION:Warriors Haunted Asylum brings old-school Halloween terror to a 100-plus-year-old building in Mount Calvary\, Wisconsin\, just east of Fond du Lac. The haunted attraction takes you through three levels of scares\, beginning on the second floor before descending into the basement of the aging structure. The building itself provides much of the atmosphere\, but the real nightmare is what waits inside: actors\, themed rooms\, sudden scares\, and plenty of twists designed to keep you guessing about what is around the next corner. \nGetting out of the building doesn’t mean you’re safe. The walkthrough continues outdoors into a twisting maze where more creatures and unexpected scares are waiting. At the end\, a bonfire\, concessions\, and photo opportunities give you a chance to regroup after making it through the asylum. Warriors Haunted Asylum also periodically offers special experiences\, including Family Day\, when the lights are on and actors are absent\, and Blackout Nights\, when the lights are turned off and each group gets a single glow stick to find its way through the attraction. \n3 floors of fright plus an outdoor maze leading to a bonfire. Come out to see if we can scare you. \n

Led by Wisconsin native Kate Stenson’s sultry vocals and hot violin\, these three tracks ring out with harmony and break down into playful string adventures featuring Northeast Wisconsin legends\, Gregg Daigle and Loren Dempster. Originally from Virginia\, Ian Moore writes many of the songs and holds down bass duties. SUMMARY:Holding Multitudes Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:We see our artmaking practices as dissecting systems to forge connections with the people and environments around us. Through research\, reflection\, and tactile making\, we treat our studio practice as a laboratory- a place to critique that world while also working to heal and nurture it. \nWorking across a wide range of mediums\, we explore ideas that extend beyond technique and material. Our work touches on domestic labor\, ritual\, ecology\, memory\, vulnerability\, and perseverance. While each artist here approaches these subjects differently\, connections emerge through the ways they collect\, repeat\, transform\, repair\, and tend to materials. \nFragility and humor come together in Tanya Gill’s work\, creating a connection to Lois Bielefeld’s exploration of absurd labor. Tulika Ladsariya\, Vanessa Filley\, and Marzena Ziejka each work through accumulation\, creating ethereal objects and layered records of obsessive collecting. Jennifer Mannebach’s vibrant palette and visualized emotional boundaries resonate with Rita Grendze’s wrapped sculptures; both artists draw on an abundance of materials from everyday life. Holly Cahill’s compost pots and Jill Lanza’s handwoven placemats consider consumption\, digestion\, and decomposition through materials and processes associated with the domestic. Katherine Lampert and Yoonshin Park ask for a different kind of attention altogether: a deep stillness and a willingness to look slowly\, engaging the whole body in ways that extend beyond what the eye or mind can grasp alone. \nThroughout the exhibition\, there’s a shared spirit of curiosity and sustained material investigation. Our varied artistic approaches reveal unexpected relationships between the everyday and the poetic\, labor and ritual\, fragility and endurance. Together\, the works hold multitudes of opportunities to slow down\, look closely\, and consider how meaning can emerge through the things we make\, use\, gather\, and care for.

The Kohler family and the Kohler Foundation purchased Wade House in 1950 and began a top-to-bottom restoration.
