SUMMARY:Halloween Candlelight Cave Tours
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a family-oriented educational (not scary) event! Register for a specific time slot as spaces are limited! Tours leave every half hour\, taking 1-1.5 hours to adventure through lantern-lit woods down to candlelit caves. Along the way\, you may encounter some peculiar characters with unusual stories to tell… This event is a fundraiser for the nature center\, made possible by the Friends of Ledge View Nature Center\, a 501©3 nonprofit\, and the Calumet County Parks Department. Please be sure to dress for the weather\, as this is an outdoor event that utilizes a section of the caves. Minimum age: 5 years old with a parent. No strollers or backpack carriers\, please. Wear old clothes and closed-toed shoes; you may get dirty! Caves are accessed by stairs and ladders and are not handicap accessible. Visitors will not be required to enter the caves for the final segment of the tour. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour and follow signs for check-in. Tours will depart promptly at the scheduled tour time. Tickets are nonrefundable\, and the event will take place rain or shine. \n*Please note the nature center will still be closed during this event. SUMMARY:Warriors Haunted Asylum
DESCRIPTION:Warriors Haunted Asylum brings old-school Halloween terror to a 100-plus-year-old building in Mount Calvary\, Wisconsin\, just east of Fond du Lac. The haunted attraction takes you through three levels of scares\, beginning on the second floor before descending into the basement of the aging structure. The building itself provides much of the atmosphere\, but the real nightmare is what waits inside: actors\, themed rooms\, sudden scares\, and plenty of twists designed to keep you guessing about what is around the next corner. \nGetting out of the building doesn’t mean you’re safe. The walkthrough continues outdoors into a twisting maze where more creatures and unexpected scares are waiting. At the end\, a bonfire\, concessions\, and photo opportunities give you a chance to regroup after making it through the asylum. Warriors Haunted Asylum also periodically offers special experiences\, including Family Day\, when the lights are on and actors are absent\, and Blackout Nights\, when the lights are turned off and each group gets a single glow stick to find its way through the attraction. \n3 floors of fright plus an outdoor maze leading to a bonfire. This made the 27-room Greek Revival hotel a popular resting point for weary travelers. Three generations of the Wade family resided on the Wade House property\, with the stagecoach inn operating until around 1872. The Kohler family and the Kohler Foundation purchased Wade House in 1950 and began a top-to-bottom restoration. The site became property of the Wisconsin Historical Society and opened to the public in 1953. Here\, visitors can journey back to the horse-powered world that existed before planes\, cars\, and trains. The site features the stagecoach hotel built and owned by Sylvanus and Betsey Wade\, early settlers of Greenbush\, as well as a blacksmith shop\, sawmill\, and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum\, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons. DESCRIPTION:Warriors Haunted Asylum brings old-school Halloween terror to a 100-plus-year-old building in Mount Calvary\, Wisconsin\, just east of Fond du Lac. The haunted attraction takes you through three levels of scares\, beginning on the second floor before descending into the basement of the aging structure. The building itself provides much of the atmosphere\, but the real nightmare is what waits inside: actors\, themed rooms\, sudden scares\, and plenty of twists designed to keep you guessing about what is around the next corner. \nGetting out of the building doesn’t mean you’re safe. The walkthrough continues outdoors into a twisting maze where more creatures and unexpected scares are waiting. At the end\, a bonfire\, concessions\, and photo opportunities give you a chance to regroup after making it through the asylum. Warriors Haunted Asylum also periodically offers special experiences\, including Family Day\, when the lights are on and actors are absent\, and Blackout Nights\, when the lights are turned off and each group gets a single glow stick to find its way through the attraction. \n3 floors of fright plus an outdoor maze leading to a bonfire. DESCRIPTION:Join a naturalist for an unforgettable interpretive tour of Carolyn’s Caverns. This is a unique wild cave system where crawling and exploring are optional and encouraged\, but not required. Learn how caves are formed\, some of the geological history of this area\, and about animals that use the caves. This is a fun\, family-friendly tour; minimum age is 5. We will use stairs and ladders to enter the caves. Flashlights required.\n \nThese are ‘wild’ caves\, and we do not have paved walkways or electricity. Closed-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long sleeves are a must! A sweatshirt\, boots\, a hat\, and gloves are suggested. The caves are frequently muddy in areas. Please bring a flashlight other than your phone. This is a walking tour with optional crawling opportunities. Come ready to explore!\n \n*Note that the nature center is still closed for our building remodel. SUMMARY:Warriors Haunted Asylum
DESCRIPTION:Warriors Haunted Asylum brings old-school Halloween terror to a 100-plus-year-old building in Mount Calvary\, Wisconsin\, just east of Fond du Lac. The haunted attraction takes you through three levels of scares\, beginning on the second floor before descending into the basement of the aging structure. The building itself provides much of the atmosphere\, but the real nightmare is what waits inside: actors\, themed rooms\, sudden scares\, and plenty of twists designed to keep you guessing about what is around the next corner. \nGetting out of the building doesn’t mean you’re safe. The walkthrough continues outdoors into a twisting maze where more creatures and unexpected scares are waiting. At the end\, a bonfire\, concessions\, and photo opportunities give you a chance to regroup after making it through the asylum. Warriors Haunted Asylum also periodically offers special experiences\, including Family Day\, when the lights are on and actors are absent\, and Blackout Nights\, when the lights are turned off and each group gets a single glow stick to find its way through the attraction. \n3 floors of fright plus an outdoor maze leading to a bonfire.
