DESCRIPTION:Come on a sunset and full-moon walk on the dike in Eldorado Marsh on Sunday evening. At this time of evening\, there should be an opportunity to see and hear the birds in the marsh. The moonrise is 5:18\, and sunset is 5:54 pm. \nMeet in the parking lot at the end of Dike Road on the east side of Eldorado Marsh. If you put the exact address into your GPS\, it will take you PAST the Dike Road entrance. We have to use an exact address to post things\, but it will take you past the parking area. Bring binoculars\, wear good shoes\, and dress warmly. \nWe will cancel the event if the skies are overcast.

DESCRIPTION:Join a naturalist for an unforgettable interpretive tour of Carolyn’s Caverns. This is a unique wild cave system where crawling and exploring are optional and encouraged\, but not required. Learn how caves are formed\, some of the geological history of this area\, and about animals that use the caves. This is a fun\, family-friendly tour; minimum age is 5. We will use stairs and ladders to enter the caves. Flashlights required.\n \nThese are ‘wild’ caves\, and we do not have paved walkways or electricity. Closed-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long sleeves are a must! A sweatshirt\, boots\, a hat\, and gloves are suggested. The caves are frequently muddy in areas. Please bring a flashlight other than your phone. This is a walking tour with optional crawling opportunities. Come ready to explore!\n \n*Note that the nature center is still closed for our building remodel. Please meet at the pavilion located behind the nature center.\nDue to the building closure\, the only restroom facilities will be the pit toilet building and portable toilets with a mobile hand-washing station.\nPre-registration required; no walk-ins accepted. \n \n \n$9.00 per person \nClick here for ticket information.
