SUMMARY:The Art of Gratitude
DESCRIPTION:Join NAMI Fond du Lac County for our November “Togetherness Event” – The Art of Gratitude! \nIn this creative and meditative experience\, we explore a different way of connecting with gratitude\, moving beyond simply thinking about what we’re grateful for and creating space to experience it through reflection\, sensation\, and creative expression. \nWe begin with a grounding guided meditation using voice and sound to soften the mind\, settle into the body\, and bring our attention into the present moment. From this quieter space\, you’ll be guided through a few reflection questions that can be used for journaling and as inspiration for the creative practice that follows. \nThen\, we bring gratitude onto the page. Using simple patterns\, shapes\, symbols\, and scenes\, you’ll explore different ways of visually expressing what gratitude looks and feels like to you. Your drawings might represent a person\, a memory\, a place\, a feeling\, or even something that doesn’t need to make logical sense at all. \nThis experience isn’t about artistic ability or creating a polished piece of art. You don’t need to know how to draw\, and beginners are warmly welcomed. The intention is to slow down\, become curious\, and allow creativity to become another language for noticing and expressing gratitude. \nAll creative materials are provided at no cost to participants!
