Juneteenth Celebration

June 17 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

FREE

Everyone is welcome to join in the Celebration of Freedom and Unity as we teach the importance of cultural diversity. Juneteenth is celebrated in recognition of that time in history when the country made a stand to do what was right and abolish slavery. As a state holiday, Juneteenth is supported not only as a tribute to African American freedom but as an example and encouragement of self-development and respect for all cultures. This celebration promotes and cultivates knowledge and appreciation of African American history and culture. We will have performances, kid activities, soul food, vendors, raffles, and more!
