8th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Show and Ride the Bol

February 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free Admission

It’s that time of year again for the Holyland Snowflyers Snowmobile Club to host their 8th Annual Sno-Bol Show and Ride scheduled for February 4th at Keikhaefer Park. The club offers this free-to-attend event, as a major fundraiser that supports the sport of snowmobiling within the northeast area of Fond du Lac County. The venue provides a unique opportunity for vintage snowmobile enthusiasts to ride on the historic Sno-Bol racetrack that was built by Carl Keikhaefer in 1971 and held competitive snowmobile races for 3 years.
The event is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 AM with sled registration for those who want to show off their “Old Steel.” Anyone interested to ride the track on a vintage sled can purchase a $5.00 pass. This pass allows unlimited access to ride the track until 4:00 PM. At noon, a parade lap will be held for anyone with a vintage snowmobile for a chance to ride the track as part of a group ride. No wrist band required to participate in the parade lap. In the past, the parade laps have involved over 80 sleds. It is quite a sight to see all those old sleds travel around the half-mile track. Awards for show entries will take place at 2:30 PM. The show and ride wrap up at 5:00 PM.

This year we are excited that AWSC Miss Snowflake, Rachyl Burzinski will be attending the show and involved with several of the events, one of which will be leading the parade lap. Come meet this amazing young woman and hear her perspective on the snowmobiling past-time.

Throughout the day, various chances to purchase and possibly win raffle prizes will be offered. Bucket raffles will be available along with Pot-of-Gold chances throughout the day and two Meat Raffles: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Tickets may still be available for the big Winter Fundraiser drawing that is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

So, if you’re looking for a safe, family-friendly event for the day, come on out and see some vintage snowmobiles and enjoy the weather. A heated tent with clear panels to see the track will be set up. There is plenty of food and drinks available to purchase including soup and hot chocolate to keep you warm. Delicious homemade desserts provided by the Holyland Girls Scouts will be available for purchase. To help excite the next generation of snowmobilers a small track will also be set up for young children to ride a 120 cc snowmobile at no charge starting at 10:00 AM. The kids have loved this over the past year and are good at keeping the small track busy. Free groomer rides will also be available for kids to take a ride. The Taycheedah Town Hall also has a sledding hill as you enter the park area. So, bring your sleds and tubes and make a whole day of it. There is a lot to do.

We are praying for snow to make this event a success. In the event, enough snow does not arrive on time, the show will still go on. The location will is expected to remain as planned but the ride the Bol and kids track events will not occur. So set your schedules and come out to enjoy the day and support the local community.
