Fond du Lac's largest free family festival includes all-day fun, including live music on several stages, children's entertainment and activities, sports tournaments, concession sales, the Mercury Marine National Walleye Tournament, exhibits and much more! Since 1978 Walleye Weekend has been a signature event for Fond du Lac. The free family festival now lures over 80,000 people to Lakeside Park with its family entertainment, live music, sporting events and more. At the conclusion of the yearly celebration funds are distributed to local non-profit organizations, service clubs and other volunteer groups that participated and supported Walleye Weekend.

Familyland invites you to bring the kids along for a collection of exciting, family-friendly activities, including: Balloon Magic, Bungee Jump, Face Painting, Walk on Water Balls, Monster Mural, Tats for Tots, Helicopter Rides and more.

Event Line-up

Saturday and Sunday 6:30 a.m.
The Mercury Marine National Walleye Tournament will be a live release Walleye tournament. The Mercury National will be a team event. Keith Kavajecz along with Tony Esposito will be the Master of Ceremonies. The Lighthouse Anglers and Walleyes for Tomorrow will process and release the fish at the weigh-in each afternoon. Scientists with the WI-DNR are also on-site to assist in the release analysis. The catch will be transported back to the lake.

All contestants must register in person at the Lakeside Park Tournament Headquarters on Oven Island between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10th. The mandatory rules meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the weigh-in stage on Friday, June 10th. Volunteers from the Lighthouse Anglers and walleyes for Tomorrow monitor traffic flow, launching and placement of boats. The prizes are 100 percent payback with 1st prize being $13,000 paying down to 75th place.

Hearts to Heroes Charity Motorcycle Ride
Saturday 2:15 p.m.
Join us for our 2nd annual Hearts to Heroes Charity Ride which departs from Open Road Harley Davidson and concludes with a parade through Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac for the Walleye Weekend festivities.

Proceeds from this ride benefit the local American Legion Riders and Northeast Wisconsin Old Glory Honor Flight.

Hearts to Heroes Honor Parade
Saturday 4:30 p.m.
Line up along Harborview Drive and welcome the Hearts to Heroes Motorcycle riders as they head into Walleye Weekend! The riders will head West on Harborview Drive, and North on Doty Street. Although we anticipate the riders will arrive by 4:45 pm, you will want to be in place by 4:30.

The Reporter Walleye Run/Walk

The Fond du Lac Running Club's premier event, The Reporter Walleye Run/Walk, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, WI.

Celebrating their 37th year as part of Walleye Weekend, this annual event in the heart of the festival has attracted approximately 500 runners participating in the first Walleye Run to as many as 2,000 participating in recent years. You don't want to miss it! Great fun for the serious runners, the not so serious runners, and the entire family. This event is a crowd pleaser both on the 'track' and on the sidelines!

Walleye Weekend Volleyball Tournament

Set up those nets, bring your volleyballs, and get ready to bump, set and spike! Grab some friends and show off your skills, but don't wait to register as this tourney fills!

The tournament will be played on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. Whether you're in it to win it or just want to play some volleyball with friends, there is a division for everyone.

Prizes range from t-shirts and Eaton's Fresh Pizza certificates to $200 cash!

Marian University Wine Bar

  • The Eden Stone Climb, sponsored by Eden Stone Company, is a 30-foot rock-climbing wall that will challenge new and experienced rock climbers alike. The giant wall offers three different levels of difficulty to test a climber's skill. The Eden Stone Climb will be open on Friday, June 10 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., June 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Back by popular demand! The use of Henna for body art is over 5,000 years old. The people of Egypt and India use this form as temporary tattoos for religious ceremonies, wedding festivals and for simple body adornment. Now you can have a temporary henna tattoo as your keepsake from Walleye Weekend. Henna Artists will be available on Friday, June 10 from 3:00-5:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.   • Inflatable Jousting, sponsored by Quad Graphics, will challenge event goers to compete against their friends and family in an all-inflatable joust. Inflatable Jousting will be available on Oven Island on June 10 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., June 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • The Memory Photo Booth will be found on Oven Island during Walleye Weekend 2016. Sponsored by Agnesian HealthCare, the Memory Photo Booth is designed for event goers to capture the fun of Walleye Weekend. Fit up to eight people in the booth and add props, such as hats and boas, to create some picture-perfect memories.

Jackyl Concert
Saturday 8:30 p.m.
It's been over 20 years since Jackyl shot out of Georgia with its wild, untamed and uncouth approach to rock. Equal parts hard rock, heavy metal and Southern rock, Jacky formed in 1991 and brought rock'n roll back - back to its down to earth, wild, fun-loving origins. Full of spirit and swagger, and a dirty sense of humor to boot, you will enjoy the antics of Jackyl.

Free Family Fishing Tournament
Saturday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Sunday 8:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Hey, its Walleye Weekend so what do we do? We fish!

This free Family Fishing Tournament is held on Oven Island with children lining the banks of the two north channels, often shoulder to shoulder. The catch is weighed on electronic scales with the most weight winning. Contestants may choose to fish both days or only one day of their choice. The lead sponsor is McDonalds with assistance from the Fond du Lac Fire Fighters Local 400, Alliant Energy, International Paper, and Wisconsin Lake & Pond Resource. It's the beginning of summer, so let's go fishing!

This event benefits Fishing Has No Boundaries. Trophies awarded each day 15 minutes after close of tournament. All places (first-fifth) win trophies. Results to be determined by dividing the total number of pounds of fish caught by the family by the number of registered participants per family. In case of a tie, the winner with the biggest fish wins. Advance registration is encouraged, but not required. Day of tournament registration will be available at the Family Fishing Tent before the 8:00 a.m. start.

Bicycle Poker Ride
Sunday 8:00 a.m.
Depart from the DeNeveu Shelter (East Harborview Drive at Lakeside Park), and head south on a 39 mile 'Lomira Loop'.

There will be 7 stops along the way allowing you to gather initials and you pull your Poker hand upon return. The best hand wins a $100 Hoppers gift card, and 2nd best hand gets a $50 Hoppers gift card. A sag wagon is provided to assist riders with mechanical difficulties or those in need of relief.

Proceeds benefit the YMCA. Your fee includes a $5 food token for use at any of the Walleye Weekend concessions.

Pier Pups Canine Dock Jumping Competition

PIER PUPS CANINE DOCK JUMPING COMPETITION Bergstrom Subaru loves dogs! Jumping, flying, splashing....oh my! If your dog loves the water, you will want to try Pier Pups Canine Dock Jumping. This is their third year of what is to become a tradition at Walleye Weekend.

The first session starts on Friday at 4:30 p.m. with sessions starting each hour. Each session is about 30 to 40 minutes in length. The final jump off is at 7:30 p.m. Sessions start at 11 a.m. on Saturday with final jump off at 6 p.m.

Walleyball Softball Tournament

Celebrate the end of the school year by playing in the Walleyball Softball Tournament!

This is a coed tournament with the emphasis on FUN with competition being secondary! Costumes are optional and make the tournament great fun! Players must be members of high school graduating classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. (This includes those going into 9th gr. in the fall of 2016) Students from Fond du Lac County and surrounding areas are welcome to participate.

Teams can include members of different high school grade levels or be from the same club, organization, friends or represent classes as long as there are equal numbers of girls and boys on the team. A limited number of spots are available and teams will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
