Birky Challenge

The Birky Challenge is a bike ride to honor Craig Birkholz, a Fond du Lac police officer who was killed in the line of duty. Officer Birkholz kept himself in top physical shape and would often leave challenges to his co-workers on workouts he had performed. After Craig's death, we have continued his tradition by putting on a challenging bike ride to raise money for the Craig Birkholz scholarship foundation. We are proud to say that our hard work has paid off and the scholarship is now fully funded. We are now continuing to raise money for charities that Craig's surviving loved ones have picked.

This year we are raising money for Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), The Police Unity Tour and Wisconsin Injured Law Enforcement Officers Resource Council (WILEORC). The bike ride is a 67, 40 or 20-mile ride through the Kettle Moraine State Forest area. All of the rides feature challenging hills to climb. The ride is self-paced and is not a race. There are five food and aid stations along the way as well as rider support. You may also help us raise funds for our worthy cause getting pledges for the ride. For more details on the ride please visit our website at www.birkychallenge.com or visit our Facebook page the Birky Challenge.
