FDL County Fairgrounds Recreation Building

The Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds has three buildings for rental year round that are heated and smoke-free. They are the Recreation Center, Expo Center, and Cow Palace. Because of their differences in sizes, each one is unique and usable for various types of events. In the summer months, the Recreation Center is a popular building since it is air-conditioned.

We are excited to bring a Vex Robotics Competition to the area and hope everyone comes and enjoys the 2nd Annual Ishamon Harris Memorial VRC Tournament. There will be a full concessions area available which will include breakfast and lunch items. A partial menu will be posted closer to the competition date. Items available include: Dominos Pizza, chips, hot dogs, soda, water, coffee, baked goods, candy, fruit, and doughnuts.It is a vex robotics event including teams from Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. This tournament is open to registered Middle School and High School teams. It also is a qualifying event for other Championship events. Agenda 6:30 am - Doors Open, Registration Open 7:00 am - Judging, Inspection and Practice (all teams must attend scheduled judging session) 9:15 am - Drivers Meeting/Opening Ceremony - All robots inspected 9:30 am - Qualifying matches start 2:30 pm - Qualifying Completed 2:40 pm - Alliance Selection 3:00 pm - Eliminations/Awards Start - Quarter finals - Semi Finals - Finals 5:00 pm - Award announcements - Closing
