  • Foot of the Lake Synchronized Skating Competition
  • 1st Saturday
  • Come watch nationally competing synchronized skating teams perform in this day long event. Concessions available. Come and enjoy this exciting and beautiful team sport!
  • Central WI Gun Collectors Gun Show
  • 3rd weekend
  • Buy, sell or trade old and modern guns and accessories at the largest gun show in Wisconsin, with more than 500-6 foot tables. These shows are well attended by over 7000 guests per year coming to enjoy the camraderie of like-minded individuals and the opportunity to stroll the aisles in search of something on their want list. There are over 460 members belonging to our Association.

February

  • Brewfest
  • 1st Saturday
  • Festival consisting of microbrews from across the globe and home brews for sampling, as well as local food vendors and live entertainment. The festival features over 100 brews and more breweries have decided to showcase their beer as well. Home brews will also be featured.
  • Kettle Moraine Candlelight Ski/Hike
  • 1st Saturday
  • Cross-country ski or hike in the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit by candlelight. At the bonfire join fellow hikers and skiers for hot drinks and snacks provided by the Friends of the Kettle Moraine. The trail is perfect for novice skiers with no steep hills or sharp turns. The Zillmer shelter building will be open, lit and heated.
  • Sturgeon Stampede
  • 2nd weekend
  • Sturgeon Stampede event has been entertaining winter lake enthusiasts for over two decades. Please dress for the conditions and enjoy winter at its finest! The party offers skating, broomball, ice bowling, ice sailing, sturg-o-rama, stupid human tricks and more! We provide food, drink, music & shelter along with bonfires, heat, etc.
  • Celebrate commUNITY
  • 3rd Saturday
  • CELEBRATE commUNITY is an exciting day celebrating your heritage and other cultures through music, dance, food, crafts and activities. Immerse yourself in global culture! The event includes the opening ceremony, continuous entertainment, booths representing many countries and a children's activity area.

April

  • All Breed Dog Show
  • 3rd weekend
  • This dog show offers over 950 participating dogs each day, with a diversity that welcomes any AKC-registered breeds. Multiple types of showings and competitions will be running at the same time throughout the day, including obedience, rally and conformation. This is also a place for locals and out-of-town dog owners to show their pets and a chance to meet and chat with breeders concerning all things canine.

May

  • Moraine Park Car & Motorcycle Show
  • 1st weekend
  • Hosted by the Moraine Park Auto Club, the car show takes place rain or shine. 200 show cars on display. Trophies are awarded for first through third place, and Best in Show. Proceeds from car registration and admission fees go to the Auto Club for scholarships, registration and test fees for ASE certification, and educational activities such as trips to car assembly plants.
  • Horicon Marsh Bird Fest
  • 2nd weekend
  • Experience the peak of the spring bird migration around the Horicon Marsh area. Includes guided bird hikes, bird banding demonstration, birding adventures by boat, birding for kids, BIG SIT, 1st Light & Hot Spot bus tours. Night Sounds bus tour or hike. Reservations required for some events - others are free.
  • Spring Vintage Weekend-Road America
  • 3rd weekend
  • RA's vintage season kicks off with this great event! Get ready to see some friendly sparring between our British and German marques.
  • Greekfest

  • 3rd Sunday
  • Greek music, Greek food and a good time will be shared by all. There will be vendors who will be selling their wares and a Greek Agora (Greek market). Many Greek herbs and spices and other items which cannot be purchased in town can be found here. A good time will be had by all. As the Greeks would say, OPA!!
  • Tripoli Shrine Circus
  • 4th Tuesday
  • Join us for the Circus Pre-Party one hour before show times. Ride an elephant or pony, get your face painted and meet the circus stars up close and in person. It's a fun family adventure for all ages!
  • Superbike Doubleheader-Road America
  • last Friday through Sunday
  • Two-wheeled action takes center stage this weekend!! The fast and flowing 4.05-mile natural road course will serve as the theater of war. This annual two-wheel celebration draws huge crowds for a weekend full of doubleheaders. Fan activities include on-site camping, front-straight drag racing demo and open karting.

June

  • Birky Challenge

  • "67 mile bicycle ride honoring fallen Fond du Lac Police Officer Craig Birkholz, Badge #67, shot and killed in the line of duty. Shorter routes available. Funds raised are used for student scholarship towards Law Enforcement College."
  • Fond de Vettes Trip Around the Lake

  • ALL CORVETTES Trip Around Lake Winnebago. Stops, Lunch & refreshments. Live Music, raffles, door prizes, free button.
  • Art on the Island
  • 1st Sunday
  • Over 70 art and craft vendors will be representing a wide variety of arts and crafts in a tree-lined park on Lake Winnebago. Food, live music, kids' crafts, free admission and parking. A family event featuring a variety of talented art and craft vendors selling pottery, glass, jewelry, paintings, photography and so much more!
  • Tour de Marsh
  • 1st Saturday
  • Get your friends and family together and come to "Tour De Marsh" at Horicon Marsh. Join bicyclists, hikers, motorcyclists and autos touring around and through the famous Horicon Marsh. Named one of the "seven wonders of Wisconsin" and a "Wetland of International Importance", seeing and experiencing Horicon Marsh is a great opportunity to enjoy one of nature's treasures.
  • Vintage Motorcycle Classic - Road America
  • 1st weekend
  • Featuring vintage racing motorcycles from the 1920's to the early 70s and vintage superbikes from the 70s and 80s. Fans will also enjoy motocross, cross-country and trials competitions plus club corrals, a moving bike show and swap meet.
  • Buttermilk Festival - Symphonic Band

  • June Sprints - Road America
  • 2nd weekend
  • Road America's longest running annual sports car event. Everything from showroom stock to highly modified purpose-built race cars form ten race groups that are scheduled to fill four days of practice, qualifying and racing SCCA June Sprints.
  • NASCAR Nationwide Series - Road America
  • 3rd weekend
  • Bringing intense wheel-to-wheel stock car racing action to the nation's most intimidating road course. The weekend will feature NASCAR Nationwide, ARCA and Trans-Am qualifying and incredible wheel-to-wheel racing. Race fans will have the opportunity to watch some of NASCAR's future stars as they test their skills on the storied four-mile, 14-turn road circuit.
  • Fun Fly Remote Control Air Show
  • 3rd Saturday
  • Open Fun-Fly for all. Aircraft & Helicopters. Bring the family and stay for the day! Public is welcome. Come see all kinds of radio controlled airplanes, jets and helicopters.
  • Antique Car and Truck Show
  • 3rd Sunday
  • The car show will feature hundreds of cars and trucks from all over Wisconsin. The car show will also feature 50's and 60's music, a Best Dads contest, raffle, food, drinks, trophies and lots of family fun! For those just visiting, you are encouraged to bring your whole family out for the event.
  • Breakfast on the Farm
  • 4th Sunday
  • Get a first hand look at a working dairy farm. Educational displays will help breakfast goers learn as they tour the farm. Highlights include: Large Country-style Breakfast, Ice Cream Sundaes, Farm Tours, Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull, Antique Farm Equipment Display, Family Activities and much more!
  • Edge the Ledge & Kids Adventure Race

  • Organizers are pleased to announce the adventure race now has become a family affair. While adults slough through mud-filled pits, climb up walls and beat up their bodies, the kids races will be easier and cleverly designed to make this a fun event for them. Edge the Ledge is a 3 mile adventure race in Kiekhaefer Park. It features challenging, creative and fun obstacles. Finish by crawling through a mud pit which all athletes must do to complete the event.

July

  • Americana Concert and Fireworks
  • 4th of July
  • Americana Concert in the historic Joseph Schmitz Bandstand features music by American composers, patriotic favorites and stirring American marches. Fireworks on the lakefront at dusk following the concert.
  • Horses and Hogs Mustang and Harley Show
  • 2nd Saturday
  • Celebrate two American Powersports Icons, Mustangs and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles made in the USA. Mustang and Harley-Davidson enthusiasts gather for a day of appreciation for each other's hobby. Event activities include: Mustang & Harley corrals, food & refreshments, live music, meet & greet with local celebrities & more! This is a family-friendly event.
  • Fond du Lac County Fair

  • Exhibits, carnival, foods, concessions and grandstand shows.
  • The HAWK with Brian Redman Vintage Car Weekend
  • 3rd weekend
  • The HAWK with Brian Redman has quickly grown to become one of the largest vintage racing events in the country.
  • WI Steam Engine Show
  • 3rd weekend
  • Farm displays, toy show, flea market, sawmill operation, threshers, feed mills, feed cutters, clover hullers, sawing shingles, food and refreshments.
  • EAA Airventure
  • last Monday through Sunday
  • World's largest fly-in and aviation convention. Features 10,000 planes and visitors from 70 nations. Shuttle service daily every hour from Fond du Lac Airport to event site.
  • Prairie Fest
  • last Saturday
  • Throughout the day there will be many fun and interesting programs and tours including a Prairie Tour, Rain Barrel Auction and a Prairie Wildflower Hike. Don't forget about the Prairie Playzone where kids can create their own shoe planter, play games, make a print of their favorite prairie flower or leaf and create your own unique paper hat with all the trimmings! Area vendors will also be on hand to sell a number of different items.
  • Car A Funda

  • An exciting day of strolling down memory lane with the entire family. Young and old alike will enjoy bopping to the music from the 50's, eating mouth-watering brats and burgers, while sipping on an old fashioned A&W root beer float. This event is family fun for everyone! This car show has become so popular over the years that it draws hundreds of classic vehicles from all over Wisconsin and neighboring states-history at its finest! Special interest vehicles, vintage tractors and old motorcycles are welcome.

August

  • Warbirds and Classics Over the Midwest
  • 3rd weekend in August
  • See over 300 of the most beautiful giant scale radio control airplanes in the country fly incredible performances. There will be military planes from World War 1 and biplanes through today's turbine engine jets flying 200 miles per hour. Also, the event includes classic civilian planes up to 1960. Great food, burgers, brats, soft drinks and ice cream are available. Bring your lawn chairs and spend the day!
  • Race the Lake
  • 3rd Sunday
  • A 90 Mile Bike Race around Lake Winnebago! This event is designed for the recreational cyclist to the professional. For all ages! All Abilities! The journey begins by heading north hugging the west side of Lake Winnebago and traveling through Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, Appleton and to the half way point at High Cliff State Park. Riders then take the east shoreline of Lake Winnebago - taking in lots of greenery, the mammoth blue lake and fresh country air. The course goes through Calumetville, Marytown, and St. Peter, and finishes at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac.
  • Empire Thresheree
  • 4th Saturday
  • Working show with colorful machines that complement horsepower showcase activities from yesteryear to the younger generation. Focused on threshing, but also corn cutting, silo filling, baling, chopping and plowing with vintage equipment. Some implements are horse-drawn. Kiddie tractor pull. Food, refreshments, ice cream stand.

September

  • Pickett Steam and Gas Engine Show
  • 1st weekend
  • All Brands of Tractors. Tractor Pull-Farm & Hot Farm. Food & refreshments on site. Horse Pull, Antique Tractor Pull. See antique gas engines, steam engines sawmill, shingle mill, threshing, tractors and more. Music.
  • Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival - Road America
  • 1st weekend
  • Gorgeous cars showcase racing history against the beautiful fall colors at America's National Park of Speed! The weekend regularly attracts nearly 300 vintage and historic race cars to run over the three-day event including a field of pre-war models. The fan-friendly paddock is open to spectators for close-up views of amazing racing machines prepared to era-specifications all weekend. On Saturday fans can watch a historic road course reenactment tour, which will leave Road America and follow a route almost identical to the street course driven in the early 1950's.
  • Fondue Fest
  • 1st Saturday after Labor Day
  • Craving Fondue? Look no further than downtown Fond du Lac's Fondue Fest! Tasty cheese and chocolate fondue will be served by MPTC's culinary program. Other happenings throughout the day include, live music on two different stages, other live performances, a classic car show, a huge Kids Zone with pony rides, rock climbing wall, bounce houses, balloon animals, strongmen demos, magic shows, and more! Art, craft, and farmers market vendors and downtown businesses will also have their goods on the street. Fun for the whole family...and free! Come together in downtown Fond du Lac.
  • RS Vintage Steel Steam & Gas Engine Show
  • 2nd weekend
  • View antique farm equipment working on site. Rock crushing, threshing, log-sawing, blacksmithing and more.
  • Wind Power Championships
  • 3rd Saturday
  • Competition includes: Long distance racing, course racing, slalom and freestyle for windsurfing and windkiting. Each year this event kicks off the new MOWIND Race Series. The Lake Winnebago Super Crossing is also held the Friday before Windpower Championships. This is a distance and social event that takes advantage of Winnebago's impressive size and wind-powered touring options. When conditions permit, the Supercrossing starts at the south end of the lake and finishes 28 miles later at the north end.
  • Wade House Civil War Weekend

  • Celebrate the Civil War commemoration by experiencing one of the largest Civil War re-enactments and encampments in Wisconsin. See an authentic skirmish and battle each day, visit with President Abraham Lincoln, listen to music of the Civil War era and enjoy many other activities.   • This annual event showcases over 70 juried artisans offering a huge variety of collectibles, gifts, original crafts, clothing and art. Coffee Corner awaits hungry shoppers, who are invited to sit down, have lunch, a snack or drink and enjoy music. A raffle, Silent Auction, SIGMA'S Homemade Cookies will also be available.

December

  • Lakeside Park Holiday Lights
  • Month
  • Lakeside Park on picturesque Lake Winnebago shimmers with thousands of lights, animated scenes and heart-warming holiday music. See Rudolph perched high atop the lighthouse, with this red nose flashing.
  • Can't Depend on Snow

  • Sled Dog Race, Pictures with Santa (Pets & Owners), Silent Auction, Weight Pull, Sled Dog Rides, People Relay Sled Race, Human Freight Race, Drive a Sled, Silent Auction.
  • Holiday Parade of Lights

  • Enjoy KFIZ's Holiday Parade in downtown Fond du Lac. A true holiday classic! This year's parade will step off at 4:15pm at North Main Street and head south towards Veteran's Park where Santa will deliver his holiday greeting and light his very own tree!
  • Night of Silence
  • 2nd weekend
  • A medley of continuous holiday performances in voice, band, orchestra, and hand bells without applause interruption. Of course, you will be applauding at the end of Fond du Lac's most popular holiday event. New this year is an added third performance. Admission is free, but you must have a ticket for each seat available at Mike's Music, FHS Main Office, FHS Music Department or at the door.
  • A Live Nativity

  • Did you ever wonder what it would have been like to be in Bethlehem at the birth of Jesus? Here's your chance to see for yourself at Villa Loretto's Live Nativity. A reenactment of Jesus' birth with actors and animals. Performances are held in a barn with hay bales. Seating is limited.
  • Tour the Town
  • 3rd Friday
  • Stroll historic downtown Fond du Lac during Tour the Town, held the third Friday of each month from 5-8 p.m. All manner of artists - from painters, to jewelry makers, to mixed media artists, to cheese artisans, and every medium in between - grace our downtown's venues with their wares for purchase. This event is always free!
